Save Tiger's

Tiger's traditionally are known to be savior's of our jungles, but with there count coming down it is a matter of concern not only for individuals like me who loves to travel to jungles just to catch a glimpse of this beautiful creature, but for the entire ecological system.

When i travel last to Ranthombore the news was very encouraging as this tiger reserve project was successful with the count of tiger rising to 41, however that news lasted for a very small period when i recently heard that 3 of the young tigers were killed by poachers for want of there skin.

Also with the human presence increasing in and around the forest, more and more attacks on human and cattle lead to anger from the local villagers and lead to killing of the tigers. Also the forest department seems helpless with little or no support for the staff who goes for patrolling in the forest. The staff usually lacks with modern equipments required for patrolling.

Now the bigger question is the Govt support, should the government support and encourage forests or should it support the increasing hunger for more growth which requires urbanization, bring more and more green land into cemented jungle. How does the government strike the balance. There needs to be an systematic plan to proceed, but currently no body knows how do we proceed......
